Role Overview
We are seeking a
Project Leader – System Consultant
to lead enterprise system delivery and application initiatives within Compass Group Japan. This role requires a bilingual (Japanese/English) professional who can bridge business operations and IT delivery, ensuring smooth system deployments, integrations, and ongoing operations aligned with Japan's regulatory and business environment.
The role will lead business-side system initiatives, manage end-to-end project ownership, and work closely with local stakeholders, store operations, global IT teams, and external vendors to deliver stable, scalable, and compliant IT solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead business-side IT initiatives for Compass Group Japan, acting as the primary system consultant and project leader.
- Own end-to-end project delivery including
planning, design, build, testing, training, cutover, go-live, and Hypercare
. - Manage IT projects in collaboration with
local Japan teams and global teams (UK/India)
. - Engage stakeholders to gather, validate, and translate business requirements into practical technical solutions.
- Facilitate blueprint and design workshops with business users and vendors; produce
business blueprints, process flows, and documentation
, and obtain formal sign-offs. - Act as the primary contact point for system configurations, customizations, store operations integration, and business process discussions.
- Oversee system integrations, middleware, interfaces, and data flows with external vendors and internal platforms.
- Manage access control, system IDs, and user permissions across local and global systems.
- Review and validate
Functional Specification Documents (FSD)
and
Technical Specification Documents (TSD)
. - Coordinate UAT, training, workshops, knowledge transfer, and post-go-live support.
- Identify risks related to localization, regulatory compliance, interfaces, and operations, and implement mitigation strategies.
- Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, vendors, store personnel, and global IT teams.
