Job Overview


We are seeking an experienced and driven Sales Director to join our client in Tokyo. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales, specifically within the gas and energy sectors, to help drive company growth and advancement in the renewable energy landscape.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve business objectives and revenue targets.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, clients, and partners within the energy and electrical utility sectors.
  • Identify new business opportunities, and lead initiatives to expand market presence and increase sales volume.
  • Collaborate with other departments, including marketing and product development, to align sales strategies with overall company goals.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to adapt sales strategies accordingly.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the sales team, fostering a high-performance culture and identifying opportunities for professional growth.
  • Prepare and deliver regular reports on sales performance, forecasts, and market analysis to senior management.

Essential Qualifications

  • Minimum of 4 years and maximum of 17 years of experience in sales, with a proven track record in the gas or energy sectors.
  • Strong understanding of the renewable energy market, including electrical utilities and supply chains.
  • Proficient in sales management techniques and tools, with the ability to analyze data and derive actionable insights.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; an advanced degree is preferred.

Desired Experience

  • Demonstrated success in leading sales teams and driving revenue growth in a competitive market.
  • Experience working in the USA market and familiarity with its regulations and market dynamics.
  • Prior experience in managerial roles is an advantage.
