Product Design Engineer

What You Will Do
- Design and develop connectors for automotive customers
- Technical support for Molex standard products connectors and support for sales expansion
- Product development work with global product design team based on development procedure
- Design validation by tolerance study, D-FMEA, DRBFM and feasibility review with manufacturing team
- Work with sales team to get voice of customer and reflect it to development
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- 5+ years of product design experience for connector
- Design skill : 2D, 3D CAD. Microsoft office software
- Engineering skill : FMEA、DRBFM , Knowledge for geometric tolerance
- Presentation skill to explain logically and simply.
- Knowledge about molding and stamping
- Knowledge about materials for connector (plastics/metal/plating)
- Education: Bachelor's degree
- Self-starter. Lead projects proactively and challenge to illuminate barriers.
- Teamwork. Create good relationships with team with humility and respect.
- Japanese: Native level
- English: Business level
What Will Put You Ahead
- 3+ years of product design experience for automotive connector
- Design skill : FEA analysis capability, terminal design capability
- Engineering skill : DRBFM, deep knowledge of molding and stamping
- Business experience with automotive customers (OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers)
