Product Design Engineer

What You Will Do

  • Design and develop connectors for automotive customers
  • Technical support for Molex standard products connectors and support for sales expansion
  • Product development work with global product design team based on development procedure
  • Design validation by tolerance study, D-FMEA, DRBFM and feasibility review with manufacturing team
  • Work with sales team to get voice of customer and reflect it to development

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • 5+ years of product design experience for connector
  • Design skill : 2D, 3D CAD. Microsoft office software
  • Engineering skill : FMEA、DRBFM , Knowledge for geometric tolerance
  • Presentation skill to explain logically and simply.
  • Knowledge about molding and stamping
  • Knowledge about materials for connector (plastics/metal/plating)
  • Education: Bachelor's degree
  • Self-starter. Lead projects proactively and challenge to illuminate barriers.
  • Teamwork. Create good relationships with team with humility and respect.
  • Japanese: Native level
  • English: Business level

What Will Put You Ahead

  • 3+ years of product design experience for automotive connector
  • Design skill : FEA analysis capability, terminal design capability
  • Engineering skill : DRBFM, deep knowledge of molding and stamping
  • Business experience with automotive customers (OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers)
