経理マネージャーとして、Mediaboundの財務・経理基盤を支え、事業成長とIPO準備をリードしていただきます。
経営に近い立場で、数字を通じて会社の意思決定に関わることができるポジションです。
主な業務内容
月次・四半期・年次決算および財務諸表の作成・分析
仕訳入力、勘定科目管理、月次・年次締め業務
固定資産管理(日本基準に基づく)
日本の会計基準・税務・法令に基づくコンプライアンス対応
IPO準備に関わる業務全般(内部統制、資料整備、監査対応など)
監査法人・税理士など外部パートナーとの連携
経営陣へのレポーティング、財務分析による意思決定サポート
事業成長に合わせた経理プロセス・内部体制の改善
必須条件
日本国内での経理実務経験(必須)
IPO準備または上場企業での経理経験(必須)
財務諸表の作成・分析に関する実務経験
仕訳、勘定管理、決算業務の実務スキル
固定資産管理・財務に関する知識
高い正確性と責任感
社内外と円滑に連携できるコミュニケーション力
会計・財務系学部卒、または同等の知識

Company Description
Mediabound Inc. is a Japan-based startup specializing in creating immersive, experience-driven tourism for international visitors.

Focused on transforming Japanese culture into authentic, globally appealing experiences, Mediabound operates food tours, walking tours, and craftsmanship workshops in major cities such as Tokyo and Kyoto.

Signature offerings include the Shinjuku Sumo Club and Chopsticks Making Workshop.

Serving nearly 20,000 international visitors each month with an average rating of 4.9, Mediabound combines speed, in-house execution, and a traveler-first mindset to set new standards in inbound tourism.

Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for an Accounting Manager based in Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo.

The Accounting Manager will play a critical role in strengthening Mediabound's financial foundation, supporting business growth, and preparing the company for IPO readiness.

Key responsibilities include overseeing financial statements, managing journal entries, maintaining accurate fixed asset records, and conducting financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.

This role will also lead compliance with Japanese accounting standards and financial regulations, while driving operational and financial efficiency across the organization.

Key Responsibilities
Prepare, review, and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
Manage journal entries, account reconciliations, and closing processes
Oversee fixed asset accounting in accordance with Japanese accounting standards
Ensure full compliance with Japanese accounting regulations, tax requirements, and statutory filings
Lead financial processes related to IPO preparation, including internal controls, documentation, and audit readiness
Collaborate with external auditors, tax advisors, and internal stakeholders
Provide financial insights to management to support business planning and resource optimization
Continuously improve accounting processes and internal controls as the company scales
Qualifications (Required)
Proven accounting experience in Japan (hands-on experience with Japanese accounting practices is mandatory)
Direct experience supporting IPO preparation and/or post-IPO accounting processes
Strong proficiency in preparing and analyzing financial statements
Solid experience with journal entries, account reconciliations, and closing processes
In-depth knowledge of finance and fixed asset management
Exceptional attention to detail and high level of accuracy
Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Preferred Qualifications
CPA, US CPA, or Japanese CPA (公認会計士) certification
Experience working in a startup or high-growth environment
Background in the tourism, hospitality, or service industry
Experience working with global or multinational teams
