Job Purpose

To achieve our ambitious goals, we will merge two functions: WREF and EHS, into one to leverage better synergy from financial and employee experience perspectives, and provide modern facilities and services for employees.
We're creating this team to manage real estate facilities, EHS (Environment, Health and Safety), and Occupational Health and Security services.
- Ensure compliance with local regulatory requirements and GSK global EHS and Corporate Security standards.
- Align with Global EHS and Security strategy, develop & implement integrated approaches to managing workplace health, wellbeing, safety risks, and opportunities, ensuring stakeholder collaboration & engagement.
- Create business solutions to maximize productivity, presentism, and resilience.
Key Responsibilities
EHS:
- Ensure a sustainable, competitive business advantage through leadership and excellence in Environment, Health, and Safety.
- Provide professional advice and support to ensure the organization remains legally compliant as a minimum.
- Maintain and develop EHS Management Systems and associated activities.
- Advise on risk assessment and control to avoid or minimize loss in existing and proposed processes.
- Support projects to ensure EHS considerations are identified and addressed.
- Work with Regional Occupational Health teams to promote healthy work environments and mental wellbeing.
- Lead incident investigations to ensure appropriate actions and learnings are in place.
- Identify best practices and opportunities for improvement in corporate EHS policy, required standards, targets, and objectives.
- Develop procedures to meet EHS responsibilities.
- Monitor EHS performance and trends, and develop solutions to improve performance.
- Maintain up-to-date requirements of any EHS changes to laws and regulations that impact the organization.
- Identify Emergency Response Scenarios and develop response plans.
Security:
- Own security aspects at site to protect GSK premises, infrastructure, assets, and people.
- Work with Regional Head of Security to ensure GHS security requirements are met.
- Work closely with GSK CCM sponsor for Crisis Management Plan and BCP (Business Continuity Plans).
- Work closely with corporate security to monitor and ensure plan readiness and lead annual desk drills with documented learnings and actions.
- Identify good practices and share them in regional meetings.
- Manage security service vendors.
- Work as Security Champion to coordinate with Corporate Security global strategy/planning and other initiatives, accountable for local deliveries.
Qualifications & Experience
Education Background:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, Facilities, Real Estate, EHS, or related discipline.
Relevant Job Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experiences in office facilities EHS and Security services.
- Experience in corporate crisis management, such as earthquake response plans, COVID-19, etc.
- Additional EHS, Security, and Project management qualifications are a plus.
Other Skills & Behaviors:

- Excellent Japanese and Good English skill - oral and written.
- Stakeholder management and user communication skills.
- Vendor management skills.
- Team player, able to work across functions to achieve value for the enterprise.
