PwC Customs and Trade Advisory LLC is the global customs and international trade consulting practice of PwC. We help companies to manage complex import and export compliance risks, reduce international trade and customs costs, and improve supply chain efficiency.

As a Manager, you will be leading teams and working closely with Senior Managers and Directors to deliver both local and regional projects, and to maintain and grow our client and intra-firm relationships.

【Roles and responsibilities】

・ Executing and delivering a wide range of projects in conjunction with other teams around the region and with the PwC Tax, Assurance and Advisory practices in Japan.

・Conduct research and analysis of customs and trade issues related to business transactions in order to advise clients on import and export strategies and compliance requirements.

・ Client projects require knowledge of customs valuation, classification, Free Trade Agreements, import / export compliance, Japan-specific procedures and protocols and trade strategy development. Candidates will also be expected to identify potential opportunities to improve trade efficiency and savings as well as improvements in compliance.

・ Experience with implementation of global trade automation solutions is helpful.

・Provide support to Managers, Senior Managers, and Partners in managing a portfolio of client relationships, including marketing activities.

・ Candidates will be expected to assume a proactive role in planning and executing practice improvements, business development, and other initiatives to develop and create opportunities for the PwC business.

• Employment will be with PwC Tax Japan, with the employee being seconded to PwC Customs & Trade Advisory LLC immediately upon joining.

マネージャーとしてチームをまとめながら、シニアマネジャーやダイレクターと協力して国内外のプロジェクトを遂行し、クライアントおよびファーム間の関係維持・発展に貢献することができます。

【役割と責任】

・国内外のチームやPwC内の税務、監査、アドバイザリーチームなどと連携して、様々なプロジェクトを実施・遂行。

・輸出入取引の戦略やコンプライアンス対応についてクライアントにアドバイスを提供するため、商取引に関わる関税・貿易イシュー調査・分析。

・ クライアント向けプロジェクトでは、関税評価、関税分類、自由貿易協定、輸出入コンプライアンス、日本特有の手続きや慣習そして貿易取引戦略の立案などの深い知識が求められます。また、コンプライアンスの改善や貿易効率化およびコスト削減のための潜在的なオポチュニティを見出すことも求められます。 貿易オートメーションシステムの構築・導入経験があれば、それを活かすことができます。

・マーケティング活動を含む、クライアントとの関係構築を図るためのマネージャー、シニアマネージャーおよびパートナーサポート。

・ PwCサービスの発展と機会創出のため、業務計画及び改善、事業開発、その他のイニシアチブを積極的に進める役割を担うことが期待されます。

• PwC税理士法人にて雇用となり、入社後即日PwC関税貿易アドバイザリー合同会社に出向となります。

登録資格 Qualification

【Requirements】

Candidates should have at least 6 years of customs and trade professional experience in consulting or in industry, including:

・Proven expert abilities in analyzing and researching Japan customs and/or export controls issues and regulations

・Knowledge of client business process and ability to apply customs rules and regulations to complex client business processes

・Ability to identify opportunities for new business and scope, and pursue new projects

・Critical thinking and excellent problem solving and analysis skills

・Ability to multitask and prioritize, with excellent time management skills

・Ability to handle confidential information frequently and appropriately

・Strong project management skills and the ability to manage a wide range of projects

・Data analysis and problem solving skills

・Bachelors or Masters degree in a trade or business related field.

・Ability to work effectively in a fast paced changing environment

・Experience managing and developing staff

・Bilingual language ability in written and spoken Japanese and English

・A desire to pursue a career in the field of customs and international trade.

・ Some traveling may be required.

・Prior experience working in a consulting (Big 4 firm or other customs consulting firm) or trading firm environment is a plus.

関税・貿易に係るコンサルティング会社や事業会社において6年以上の実務経験があり、以下の資質を有すること。

・ 日本の関税や輸出管理に関連するイシュー又は規制に関して、分析および調査に関する確かな専門能力

・クライアントの複雑な事業プロセスに関する知識を有し、関税・貿易のルールや規制をその事業プロセスに適応する能力

・ 新しいビジネスの機会を見つけ出し、新プロジェクトを追求する能力

・論理的思考と優れた問題解決・分析能力

・マルチタスク処理と優先順位付け、および優れた時間管理能力

・機密情報を頻繁にかつ適切に取り扱う能力

・強力なプロジェクトマネジメントスキル及び様々なプロジェクトを管理する能力

・データ分析および問題解決スキル

・ 貿易およびビジネス関連分野の学士号または修士号

・急速に変化する環境の中で、効果的かつ積極的に働く能力

・スタッフの指導・育成経験

・日本語、英語両方のライティングおよびスピーキングにかかる能力

・ 関税・国際貿易の分野でキャリアを積む意欲

・Big4やその他関税に係るコンサルティング会社、また商社等での業務経験があればより好ましい。

・出張が必要になる場合もあり
