Purpose and Overall Relevance for the Organization:
  • Lead cross-functional projects driven by brand strategy.
  • Conduct business reviews to ensure sustainable brand growth, leveraging quantitative data and qualitative insights.
  • Determine optimal range sizes, profitability, pricing, and merchandising KPIs through Range Architecture.
  • Manage range master data to ensure data quality and facilitate analysis and reporting.
  • Planning and Insights
  • Oversee successful completion of brand-driven projects by sharing data, assumptions, and direction.
  • Collaborate with Business Units, Assortment Planning, Channels, Brand Activation, Supply Chain, and Finance teams to drive seasonal strategies and priorities while ensuring operational excellence.
  • Manage selected brand projects or priorities.
  • Develop and optimize tools and reports to analyze business performance and provide actionable insights to key stakeholders.
  • Gather market and consumer insights from various sources and summarize them into actionable recommendations for Brand and Channels teams.
  • Master Data Management
  • Lead ranging processes to create and maintain master data in accordance with Go-To-Market timelines.
  • Cleanse master data to ensure consistency for analysis purposes and supervise market-related master data management.
  • Range Architecture
  • Establish Japan Range Architecture guidelines for Business Units teams to follow when creating ranges, including article count, product type, pricing, cost, launch month curve, campaign focus products, etc.
  • Create Option Plans for Channels as guidance for Assortment Planning.

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
    • At least 8 years of experience in sporting goods or related industries
    • Strong data analysis skills
    • Effective process management skills
    • Leadership abilities
    • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
    • Market and financial knowledge
    Requisite Education / Qualifications:
    • University Degree (BS, BA, or equivalent)
    • Advanced PC skills (MS Excel / Word / PowerPoint / Power BI)
    • Fluent in English, Fluent in Japanese (preferable)
