Grakson Smith Kline Consumer Healthcare Japan is the Japanese subsidiary of Haleon, a global leader in the consumer health sector. In Japan, we market and sell various oral healthcare products under brands such as Smecta, Compeed, and Polident, as well as over-the-counter medications like Contergan and Voltaren.

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven professional to join our team as a Customer Development Representative. As a key member of our sales organization, you will be responsible for creating and executing value-adding proposals to drive business growth, improve customer satisfaction, and increase market share.

Your primary objective will be to develop and implement strategic plans that deliver Win-Win outcomes for both Grakson Smith Kline Consumer Healthcare Japan and our customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Determine customer needs and develop tailored solutions to drive category expansion and sales growth;
  • Analyze customer data and market trends to identify opportunities for improvement;
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and execute effective promotions and sales strategies;
  • Manage relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and internal partners;
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of customer financials, business goals, and market conditions;
  • Provide excellent customer service, ensuring timely and accurate response to customer inquiries;
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, competitors, and market developments;
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of company-wide initiatives and projects;
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to analyze complex data and develop actionable insights;
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with ability to build strong relationships with customers, colleagues, and external partners;
  • Proven track record of driving sales growth, improving customer satisfaction, and increasing market share;
  • Familiarity with FMCG industry and customer trade marketing principles;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word;
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team;
  • Willingness to travel frequently within Japan (up to 50% of time).
