Job Description:

Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced OSS Solution Architect to join our Central Technical Solution Team. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in software architecture, with a strong focus on cost optimization, performance growth, and scalability. This role requires domain-specific knowledge in Telco Cloud, Storage and OSS and the ability to collaborate across teams to design and deliver high-quality, scalable, and efficient software solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Solutioning

・Own E2E OSS architecture across FM/PM/CM/Inventory/Service

・Assurance/Automation, driving reference architectures, integration patterns, and quality gates.

・Govern data architecture (streaming, time-series, logs, graph/relational) and the underlying storage patterns across Kubernetes/OpenStack/public cloud to meet performance, resiliency, and TCO goals.

・Ensure alignment with hardware architecture and overall system design.

・Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of block/file/object; SDS stacks (Ceph/Rook, MinIO, OpenZFS), CSI, snapshots/replication, backup/DR (Velero, Restic), S3/Swift APIs.

・Collaborate with Regional Sales and Presales team for customer engagements.

Performance Optimization

・Develop strategies to improve software performance, including reducing CPU footprint, increasing throughput, and optimizing resource utilization.

・Establish benchmarks and best practices for achieving 10-15% performance improvement per release.

Scalability and Growth

・Design software solutions that scale to meet future demands.

・Implement modular and microservices-based architectures to enable independent scaling of components.

Cost Optimization

・Identify opportunities to reduce software-related costs, such as optimizing resource allocation and minimizing over-provisioning.

・Collaborate with PLM teams to ensure cost efficiency in every release cycle.

・Leverage open-source tools and frameworks where applicable to reduce licensing costs.

Collaboration and Integration

・Work closely with hardware architects to ensure seamless hardware-software integration.

・Collaborate with Global Presales and Sales teams to align software solutions with customer requirements and business goals.

・Provide technical guidance to cross-functional teams, including PLM, BU teams, and regional presales.

Security and Compliance

・Ensure software solutions adhere to industry security standards and compliance requirements (e.g., GDPR, ISO

・Implement secure coding practices and conduct regular security reviews.

Innovation and Technology Roadmap

・Stay updated on emerging technologies and trends in Telco Private Cloud, OSS.

・Contribute to the development of technology roadmaps and future product strategies.

Documentation and Standards

・Create and maintain detailed architectural documentation, including reference architectures, blueprints, and best practices.

・Define and enforce standards and architectural guidelines.

Key Qualifications:

Technical Expertise

Performance and Cost Optimization

・Proven track record of reducing CPU footprint, improving throughput, and optimizing resource utilization.

・Experience in designing cost-efficient software solutions, including leveraging open-source tools and frameworks.

・Experience in Convergence on Tooling, CICD , Devops.  

Strong domain knowledge in one or more of the following areas:

・OSS: Experience with network management systems, fault management, and automation.

・Telco Private Cloud: Expertise in cloud-native platforms (e.g., Kubernetes, OpenStack), orchestration, and virtualization.

・Proficiency in designing scalable, high-performance software systems.

・Hands-on experience with microservices architecture, containerization, and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).

Scalability

・Experience in designing software systems that scale to support large-scale deployments 

Security and Compliance

・Knowledge of secure coding practices and compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, ISO

Minimum Qualifications:

・Bachelor in Engineering or a Master's degree in a related field in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

・10+ years of demonstrable Solution Architecture/Presales experience, focusing on Cloud Platform and Storage.

・Strong understanding of public cloud services, including storage, and market trends.

・Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

・Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

・Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.

Preferred Qualifications:

・Track record of successfully launching and scaling consumer-facing products.

・Experience working in a global or multi-cultural environment, with an understanding of international markets and user behaviors.
