The STP/FTP Value Stream Lead (VSL) plays a critical role in the SAP RME team by serving as the functional owner and subject matter expert for the Source-to-Pay (STP) and Forecast-to-Produce (FTP) process areas.
This role ensures that enhancements, break-fix items, and regression testing activities within the STP/FTP domain are aligned with business priorities, compliant with governance standards, and delivered with quality.
The STP/FTP VSL collaborates closely with Product Managers, Team Coaches, QA, developers, and business stakeholders to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Key ResponsibilitiesFunctional Ownership
Serve as the primary point of contact for all SAP-related activities in the STP/FTP domains.
Ensure alignment of enhancements and fixes with business process requirements and strategic goals.
Enhancement & Break-Fix Support
Partner with the SAP Product Manager and Enhancement Lead to intake, assess, and prioritize enhancement requests.
Support root cause analysis and resolution of break-fix incidents, ensuring proper documentation and testing.
Quarterly Planning & Execution
Participate in Program Increment (PI) planning and backlog grooming sessions.
Provide input on capacity, scope, and prioritization for STP/FTP-related work.
Testing & Validation
Collaborate with QA and regression leads to define test scope, validate test cases, and support execution.
Ensure STP/FTP scenarios are covered in regression testing and meet compliance standards.
Governance & Documentation
Ensure all functional specifications, ARIS flows, and test plans are complete and up to date.
Participate in Design Council reviews and support audit readiness.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work with IBM/GCDC developers, data teams, and change management to ensure smooth delivery and adoption of changes.
Act as a liaison between business SMEs and technical teams.
Continuous Improvement
Identify process gaps, inefficiencies, or risks within the STP/FTP value streams and propose solutions.
Contribute to retrospectives and improvement initiatives across the RME team.
Required Qualifications
Deep understanding of SAP Source-to-Pay (STP) and Forecast-to-Produce (FTP) processes and integration points - Demand Planning
Experience in SAP enhancement lifecycle, break-fix resolution, and regression testing.
Strong collaboration and communication skills across business and technical teams.
Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Solution Manager, and ARIS.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in regulated industries (e.g., medical, pharmaceutical).
Exposure to Agile methodologies and quarterly release planning.
Knowledge of SAP WRICEF objects and change management processes.
