About the Opportunity
We are seeking a Backend Engineer Intern to architect and build the secure, scalable cloud infrastructure that powers our next-generation inventory system. Your mission is to develop the complete data pipeline, from raw data ingestion to final integration with the (WMS), creating the "brain" of our automation solution.
You will be working with large volumes of field-captured inventory data, ensuring reliability, speed, and seamless integration across enterprise platforms.
Key Responsibilities
The primary focus is on developing the full-stack data pipeline and integration layers:
- Data Ingestion and Storage:
- Architect and implement the cloud infrastructure (using services like AWS S3/Lambda, Azure Functions, or Google Cloud Platform) for secure, high-volume upload and storage of raw images and metadata from our autonomous imaging systems.
- Ensure data integrity and establish appropriate data lifecycle policies.
- Cloud Processing Backend:
- Develop a robust, scalable backend environment to host advanced AI algorithms for processing the captured data (e.g., batch processing, event-driven architecture).
- Build and maintain the necessary APIs to receive results from computer vision modules.
- WMS Integration API:
- Design and implement a secure, optimized RESTful API layer (or similar integration protocol) to synchronize processed inventory records (location, quantity, empty space status) with external Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- Analytics Dashboard Development:
- Develop a front-end web application (using a modern framework like React, Vue, or plain JavaScript) to serve as an Analytics Dashboard.
- Implement features for warehouse managers to view inventory reports, track real-time discrepancies, and visualize operational metrics.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a Master's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong proficiency in a backend language (Python, , or Go).
- Demonstrated experience or strong coursework in Cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Practical experience developing and consuming RESTful APIs.
- Familiarity with database technologies (SQL or NoSQL).
- Basic understanding of web development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) for dashboard creation.
- Knowledge of systems architecture, scalability, and security best practices.
