A global, US-headquartered investment management firm is looking to hire a Compliance Officer to lead Japan compliance activities.
This is a hands-on role with high visibility, working closely with Japan senior management and regional / global compliance teams.

Role overview
- Own and manage the Japan compliance program (policies, procedures, training)
- Liaise with regulators and industry bodies
- Advise investment and research teams on regulatory matters
- Monitor regulatory developments and assess impact on the business
- Support regulatory filings, inspections, and internal reviews
- Act as the local point of contact for information barriers and sensitive information matters
Requirements
- Fluent Japanese & English (business level, both written and spoken)
- 7–10 years' experience in asset management or securities-related compliance
- Strong knowledge of Japan FSA / FIEA regulations
- Experience working in a global or regional setup preferred
- Comfortable working independently while partnering with senior stakeholders
