Job Summary: This growing start up has raised significant funding propelling into a phase of expansion and IPO preparation. As the business continues to expand, they are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to become an integral part of their team. You'll play a pivotal role in overseeing financial operations, developing accounting systems and collaborating with the senior leadership team.
Job Responsibilities:
- Establish and enforce internal controls and guidelines for accounting transactions, budget preparation, and financial reporting.
- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting tasks, including consolidating finances for overseas subsidiaries (with reporting managed by consulting tax accountant).
- Handle tax filings, legal disclosures, and management of accounts receivable/payable.
- Forecast and analyze periodic and annual budgets.
- Present financial budgets quarterly and annually, assess proposals, and collaborate with business units.
- Ensure budgetary alignment with company objectives, and provide requisite reporting.
- Implement internal controls for financial reporting, support internal audits, and ensure compliance.
- Coordinate with audit firm for financial compliance during IPO preparation.
- Minimum 3 years of accounting or finance experience
- Experience in preparing asset securities reports, semi-annual reports, and financial results.
- CPA or Bookkeeping Level 2 certification
- Business-level proficiency in English and Japanese.
