ポジションについて:

日本&ミクロネシア担当デザインマネージャーの主な責任は、日本&ミクロネシア地域における新規IHGマネージドホテル(CMH)、フランチャイズホテル、及びパイプラインのホテルの開業に向けた内装デザイン審査のワークフローを管理し、改善することです。 

日常業務の主な責任は、デスクトップデザインレビューへの関与、メインストリームおよびプレミアムブランドのプロトタイプデザインパッケージ開発、ならびにデザイン・エンジニアリングライブラリの管理です。

シニアマネージャーおよび/またはディレクターと緊密に連携し、標準化されたワークフローとライブラリを管理することで、ホテル開業機能の成長を促進します。

本役職は、日本&ミクロネシア市場におけるエッセンシャルブランドおよびプレミアムブランドに焦点を当てます。

責任範囲:

デザインレビュー

プロジェクトリーダーと緊密に連携し、新規建設およびリブランドホテルプロジェクトのインテリアデザインについて、デスクトップベースの技術レビューを実施。

プロトタイプデザインパッケージ

デザイン&エンジニアリングチームおよび関連ホテル機能チームと緊密に連携し、メインストリームブランドおよびプレミアムブランド向けプロトタイプデザインパッケージ(内装資材、デザイン仕様、FFE・アート、OSE等を含む)の開発・最適化を実施。

第三者コンサルタントによる設計提案をレビューし、結果を構造化する。ホテル製品開発および実施の品質管理を強化する。

デザインハブのライブラリ管理・更新

デザインハブの設計書類とライブラリを構造化し、関連コンテンツを更新してライブラリを維持管理し、設計・エンジニアリングの標準化されたワークフローを支援する。

コストモデル研究・最適化におけるAIソリューション

ホテル投資のコストモデルを研究・最適化し、投資データを収集するとともに、AI活用によるコスト参照モデル構築を研究する

ホテル製品の研究開発とイノベーション

ホテル技術設計の最新動向とイノベーションを研究し、価値ある要素を図面ライブラリやプロトタイプに反映させる。

募集要項:

建築学またはインテリアデザインの学士号もしくは修士号必須。

5年以上のインテリアデザインまたはデザインマネジメントの実務経験(ホテルプロジェクト経験尚可)。

日本&ミクロネシア地域及び事業展開国のビジネス環境に対する深い理解。

著名デザイン事務所またはホスピタリティ業界での勤務経験尚可。

単独業務遂行能力とチーとの協働環境での経験。

設計・施工部門におけるプロジェクト管理経験を有することが望ましい。

現地ホテルの研究開発経験を有することが望ましい。

ホテルデザイン業界に関する深い理解を持ち、新しい流行のデザインに対する独自のアイデアと洞察力を持つ。

優れたコミュニケーション能力と論理的思考力。

自主的に行動できる能力と強いチームプレーヤーとしての資質。

ホテル事業部門内の複数部署チームや様々なステークホルダーと連携する能力を有する。

関連するオフィスソフトウェアに精通している。

日本語と英語の流暢な会話力および文章力。

Purpose of the role:

The main responsibility of Design Manager, Japan & Micronesia is to manage and improve the workflow of interior design review for opening new IHG's Company Managed Hotels (CMH), Franchised Hotels and potential pre-pipeline hotels in Japan & Micronesia.  

The major day-to-day responsibility of this role will be mainly involved in desktop design review; developing the prototype design package of main-stream and premium brands; and manage the design and engineering library. 

He/ She will work closely with Senior Manager and/ or Director to manage the standardized workflow and library to enhance the growth function of Hotel Opening.

This role will be focus on Essential and Premium Brands in Japan market.

Key Accountabilities: 

  • Design review

Work closely with Project Lead to provide desktop based technical review on interior design for potential new build and re-branding hotel projects.

  • Prototype Design package

Work closely with Design & Engineering team, and relevant hotel function team, to develop and optimize the prototype design package for Main-stream and Premium Brands, including interior material, design spec, FFE and Art, OSE etc.

Review the design proposal by third-party consultant, and structuralize the outcome. Enhance the quality control of hotel product development and implementation.

  • Manage and update library of Design Hub

Structuralize the design reference documents and library of Design Hub, and update the relevant contents to maintain the library of Design Hub, to support the standardized workflow of Design and Engineering. 

  • AL Solution on cost model research and optimize

Research and optimize the cost model of hotel investing, collecting investment data and researching on AI solution to build the cost reference model. 

  • Hotel product R&D and innovation

Researching on the recent trend and innovation on hotel technical design and implement reflect the valuable items on library and prototype.

Education: 

  • Must have Bachelor or Master degree of Architectural or interior design.

Experience:  

  • More than 5 years of on-hands interior design or design management experience, Hotel project experience is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of the business environments of JAPAC environment and countries of operation.
  • Preferably work experience in well-known design firm or the hospitality sector.
  • Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Project management in experience Design & Build section is preferred.
  • Local hotel R&D experience is preferred.

Technical Skills and Knowledge

  • In-depth understanding of the hotel design industry, with personal ideas and insights into new and trendy design.
  • Good communication skills and logical reasoning ability.
  • Independent self-starter and Strong Team Player.
  • Possess the ability to collaborate with multiple department teams and various stake holders in hotel business section.
  • Proficient in relevant office software. 
  • Fluent in Japanese and English, both oral and writing.
