POSITION SUMMARY
The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for supporting a broad range of activities, including direct sales responsibilities to customers, running therapy development related activities such as identification of target centers for therapies, running training and education programs, monitoring therapy adoption and adjust course, when and if necessary and clinical support of product usage in operating rooms.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION:
This role consists of three pillars – Sales, Clinical Support, and Therapy development. The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience and achievement in all three areas.
Sales Support:
- Achieve and exceed quarterly and annual product usage targets by leading sales engagement and driving product conversions, in support of our distributor.
- Active selling in the operating room environment, in-room sales calls to surgeons and other clinicians, and advanced clinical support of products in the OR in support of our distributor.
Therapy Development:
- Following the 'Awareness, Trial, Repeat' model of therapy development process, this role is responsible for targeting customers/centers for therapy development, supporting training leading up to the first cases, monitoring therapy adoption and taking actions for successful practice building.
Clinical Support/Case Coverage:
- A critical success factor for this role and key to gaining trust and confidence in our customers
- Will require time in the operating room assisting surgeons with case support to ensure proper and safe use of our products in support of our distributor.
Other Responsibilities:
- Support both regional and on the ground marketing and professional education programs, including working with course faculty, and communicating with the field and management on course status and results.
- Oversee that all administrative tasks and paperwork are completed and in compliance with all company policies and external reporting requirements.
- Communication on frequent basis, reporting on case notes and product and clinical feedback.
- Completing ad hoc tasks on request contributes to the smooth cadence of the business.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Educated to degree level or equivalent professional qualification.
- 5+ years Cardiovascular industry experience, having worked in an Operating Room, Electrophysiology (EP) Lab or Catheterization lab either through industry or clinical setting preferred, but not required.
- Excellent organizational skills, time management and prioritization skills.
- Unrestricted driver's license and ability to travel by car for customer visits. Ability to interact with physicians in a professional manner.
- Entry level English with willingness to communicate with APAC member outside of Japan
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
- Must be creative, self-motivated, proactive, intuitive, organized, flexible, and deadline oriented.
- Experience interacting with physician faculty and senior sales management.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Presentation and customer relationship skills.
- Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with people across all levels.
- Excellent interpersonal skills. The candidate must enjoy and excel at personal relationship-building. Ability to travel to support activities and conferences.
