In Data, we are responsible for delivering this data, news and analytics through innovative technology - quickly and accurately.We apply problem-solving skills to identify innovative workflow efficiencies, and we implement technology solutions to enhance our systems, products and processes - all while providing platinum customer support to our clients.
Our Team:
Our Fixed Income Primary Market Data team is responsible for the timely and accurate publication of new bonds being brought to market.
Responsibilities also include developing automated pipelines for ingestion and publication of new issuance data, enhancing our primary markets dataset, and finding opportunities to expand our data product offering through client engagement.
Our Primary Market team works closely with internal consumers of our data including the News, Evaluated Pricing, and Index teams.
We also collaborate closely with our counterparts in Product, Sales & Engineering.What's the role?
As a Data Analyst on the Corporate Bond Primary Market Data team, you'll help grow Bloomberg's offering of newly issued corporate bond data.
We will trust you to use your problem-solving skills to maintain the workflow of extracting, transforming and loading of timely, accurate and comprehensive data.
You will work to identify innovative workflow efficiencies and implement technical solutions to enhance our systems, products and processes.Our Data Analysts possess a unique combination of subject-matter-expertise in Fixed Income, good communication skills and ability to build relationships with various partners, as well as interest in technology or data management related tools.
We'll Trust You To:
Understand customer needs and markets to ensure data is fit for purpose, ready for use, and meets service level agreements
Build strong relationships with Debt Capital Markets and other key partners to acquire and maintain high-quality data products that align with market needs
Collaborate with a wide variety of partners such as Product Managers, Sales and Engineering on product development and implementation
Work alongside internal stakeholders to drive client and industry engagement initiatives, effectively showcasing our data and improving the market visibility
Combine domain expertise and technical skills to generate insights
Proactively provide customer support by interpreting data and anticipating their needs\
Contribute to the creation of best practices and guidelines for governance
Contribute to continuous improvement by generating ideas to improve our data products and/or associated processes
You'll Need to Have:
3+ years of recent work experience in the financial services industry, focusing on Fixed Income market
Demonstrable experience in data management, for example improving data quality, accuracy, efficiency or timeliness
A proven track record of successful project management skills and ability to prioritize tasks accordingly
Ability to work with multiple groups across reporting lines
Comfort with a high degree of autonomy, and shown ability in managing priorities from multiple internal and external partners
Demonstrated ability to take a logical approach and apply critical thinking skills in order to solve problems
Demonstrated analytical and customer service skills
Proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships through excellent communication and a customer-centric approach
Business proficiency in English and Japanese, as the role involves data coverage for the Japanese market and engagement with Japanese clients
We'd Love to See:
Previous work experience with the Bloomberg Terminal or Bloomberg Market Concepts certification
Experience using data visualization tools such as Tableau, QlikSense or Splunk
Experience transforming workflows into more timely and efficient processes
