本校は、日本の技術や知識を日本の高等教育で学びたいと希望する非漢字圏出身の留学生に対して、日本生活への導入及び高等教育への橋渡し機関として設立された日本語教育機関です。専門学校への進学を目的とし、日本語の習得に加え、日本文化・習慣や生活マナーを教授し、将来、日本国内、母国、その他の海外で活躍できる国際的素養を身に付けた人材を育成する基礎段階を担います。

運用力を重視した授業を行い、進学先で積極的に授業に参加するために必要な表現力・思考力を育成します。コミュニカティブ・アプローチやタスク活動など、多様な指導法を組み合わせ、実際に使える日本語を学びます。「話す(やり取り・発表)・聞く・書く・読む」の5技能を指導し、特に発信能力(話す・書く)を重視し、将来の就職も視野に入れた教育を行います。また、校外学習や行事、地域交流に積極的に取り組み、日本人との交流を促進し、日本社会との共生を図ります。留学生の生活・学習・精神面の悩みに対し、面談やカウンセリングを通じて早期かつ適切な指導助言を行います。
