Location: Nakameguro GT Tower, 2-1-1 Kamimeguro, Meguro-ku, Tokyo (with Flexible Work Options)
Salary Range: ¥13,000,000 - ¥19,000,000 JPY per year

  • Final salary determined based on experience and skills.

About the Role:
LUX Hair is the #1 haircare brand in Japan and the single biggest priority for Unilever Japan. We are in the midst of a major brand transformation to step up our proposition and portfolio. We are seeking a seasoned Senior Brand Manager to lead this strategic transformation, driving the first wave of new product development and communication, and building a robust 3-year innovation pipeline to secure future growth in a competitive market.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and shape the long-term growth strategy for LUX Hair in Japan.
  • Lead end-to-end innovation projects, from insight to launch, ensuring on-time and high-quality delivery.
  • Craft and sharpen the brand proposition, developing winning brand assets and clear guidelines.
  • Turn consumer insights and strategy into superior marketing mixes (product, communication, etc.).
  • Motivate and gain support from cross-functional teams (R&D, CMI, Supply Chain, Design).
  • Co-work with brand builders to deliver an aligned, multi-year Brand Marketing Plan.

What You'll Bring:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in marketing, with a proven track record in New Product Development (NPD).
  • Strong experience in the Hair Care or Skin Care category.
  • Previous experience in team management and stakeholder management at all levels.
  • Excellent consumer insight analysis skills and a creative acumen for product mix development.
  • Skilled in innovation management and gate-keeping processes (e.g., INNOFLEX).
  • Business acumen with an entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Strong logical, analytical thinking and influencing skills.
