We are now looking for a Production manager under Operations , Shaft Line Solutions Japan, Marine . Production handles to manage daily operation of machine and assembly team. We offer a high-quality working environment where you'll have an opportunity to understand the process of manufacturing stern tube seal globally and enjoy working to meet our customers' requirements. In this position, you will be accountable for management of process, operator and maintenance of facilities. The primary work location is Toyama and report to Operations General manager.

What will you be doing:

Manage the daily operation of machining and assembling in Toyama factory and maintain to keep condition of facilities. This position requires people management, communication skills, expediting, lead time management, problem-solving abilities, Kaizen lean philosophy, SAP experience, and basic knowledge of QEHS.

  • Annual strategy planning and follow up
  • Manage production status using KPI
  • Labor management
  • Middle and long term utilization planning and capacity control
  • Machine maintenance plan
  • Investigation and analysis of non-conformities related in production
  • Improve process and kaizen activitie
  • Education:

    Bachelor's degree or higher.

    To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:

  • Labor management
  • Machining and industrial process knowledge
  • Effective communication and problem-solving skills with stakeholders.
  • Skill in setting priorities, time management.
  • Japanese language
  • English as elementary level
  • SAP and PC skills (Basic functions in Excel, data entry and modification in Word, table insertion).
