Team Summary

At the heart of Visa's strategy is looking for new avenues of driving growth at a pace that ensures market leadership and achievement of our business objectives. We have amended our organizational design to align with the key pillars of our strategy more closely by setting up the Commercial and Money Movement Solutions (CMS) team. This team is responsible for managing payment flows/solutions across four segments: business solutions (Visa Commercial Solutions - VCS), government/public sector undertakings (Visa Government Solutions - VGS), global money movement (Visa Direct – VD) and Visa Cross-Border Solutions.

This is a global team, with regional presence and consists of self-motivated and highly driven individuals who excel with partners and work collaboratively with other Visa colleagues such as product teams for product design/solutioning on CMS and local country leadership teams to help their client teams capture the commercial and money movements opportunity in the most effective manner for their markets. The team also partners with other corporate functions within Visa to benefit from the full suite of expertise that the business requires, such as Marketing, Legal, Finance, Technology, Risk, People, Operations, Client Services and Communications.

What a Cluster Head of VCS does at Visa:

Visa is looking for an experienced and passionate business person to lead our VCS team in our Japan, Korea and Mongolia (JKM) cluster where VCS is a key growth pillar. The individual will be required to develop and drive the strategy, develop and execute on a market sales plan and execute on key initiatives. Most specifically, as the leader for the business in the cluster, the individual will:

  • Be responsible for developing and deploying the multi-year strategy to ensure growth and synergies across VCS solutions in JKM cluster
  • Be responsible for meeting the VCS volume, revenue and market share targets across all VCS business portfolios
  • Manage a team that will deliver on business plans, target and drive new revenues, identify client needs and ensure deployment of VCS solutions in a cohesive manner
  • Lead seamless client engagements along with the sales team to drive expansion across VCS solutions and segments
  • Identify and scale partnerships to capture new pools of flows, deploy new business models and solutions in market
  • Deliver market relevant solutions for Large Corporates, Small Businesses, Middle Market Enterprise, Fintech and Governments
  • Work closely with the local leadership team, regional and global teams to deliver the plan across VCS in JKM
  • Actively contribute to the market and country goals and growth plans
  • Set joint objectives and support performance targets for the function based on a strategic plan built with the Asia Pacific VCS leadership team
  • Be an advocate for the business, collaborate across market and regional teams to ensure plan delivery and business growth
  • Develop and drive strong client engagement with the Corporate/Treasury/Commercial Cards /Business Banking side of the clients' senior management teams
  • Execute on the core VCS business areas, and scale new growth in VCS such as Industry specific vertical solutions and VCS services
  • Develop and deploy the Government Solutions strategy for JKM, including identifying key opportunities that Visa will participate in and executing on the multi year net revenue initiatives for VGS

Qualifications

What you will need:

  • Strong experience in the Commercial Cards, Transaction Banking and/or Cash Management space
  • Minimum of 15-20 years of experience in top tier financial institutions, payments network or financial services firm
  • Deep understanding of current B2B payment trends, regulatory environment and current market landscape and gaps
  • Outstanding people leader with a track record of building high performing teams through coaching, a commitment to developing talent and building a strong succession pipeline.
  • Strong experience working directly with and influencing clients
  • Good knowledge of product management and development, data driven insights and finance
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to work effectively with cross functional and cross regional teams
  • Successful track record of stakeholder management and ability to communicate and influence at all levels of an organization
  • Willingness to take on new challenges in a fast-paced environment
  • A passion and energy for people management and people development
  • Preferably a Masters of Business degree
