Job Description: Senior Risk & Governance Manager / Head of Operations
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the risk and governance framework to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and corporate policies.
- Develop and enhance operational strategies to support renewable energy initiatives across Japan.
- Oversee risk assessment processes, identifying potential risks associated with operational projects and developing mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate risk management into business operations and decision-making.
- Facilitate training and awareness programs on risk management and governance best practices.
- Prepare comprehensive reports for senior management and stakeholders that articulate the organization's risk profile.
- Monitor changes in regulations affecting the renewable energy sector in Japan and adjust policies accordingly.
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of the risk governance framework.
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Risk Management, Renewable Energy, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Professional certifications in risk management (e.g., CERM, CRISC) will be an asset.
- Strong understanding of renewable energy market dynamics and regulatory requirements in Japan.
Desired Experience:
- Minimum 7 years of experience in risk management or operational leadership roles, preferably within the renewable energy sector.
- Proven track record in developing and implementing risk governance frameworks and strategies.
- Experience working in cross-functional teams and collaborating with senior leadership.
- Proficient in risk assessment methodologies and tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
