Department Overview
The Service Operation Department supports the growth of Rakuten Card by maintaining the IT platform, which is the backbone of our rapidly evolving services. In addition to infrastructure construction and operations, the department drives system evolution through innovative operational improvement activities, such as the application of cutting-edge technologies.
To further expand our business, we are looking for team members who can grow with us as we expand our operations base in Tokyo. This position offers the opportunity to not only manage large-scale IT platforms but also contribute to the evolution of our systems.

We aim to build a "Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) team" that pursues the reliability and productivity of the system platform supporting Rakuten Card's business. This role offers opportunities to work in various areas, including servers, networks, security, and databases.

Position Details
As a member of the unit, you will be assigned several areas of responsibility based on your experience and interests, including:

- Promoting infrastructure automation and infrastructure construction/operations

- Driving infrastructure-related projects (in collaboration with other departments, external vendors, and partners)

- Building and supporting system platforms using container technologies (Docker/Kubernetes)
- CI/CD platform build, operations, maintenance, and enhancement

- Operating and maintaining relational databases

- Managing production services to improve service reliability

Backgrounds: IT Vendor companies, web-based system development companies, etc.

Mandatory Qualifications

- 3+ years of experience in infrastructure design, construction, and operations

- Basic understanding of key protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP) at a level sufficient to discuss their meaning

- Communication skills sufficient to negotiate with internal teams and user departments

Desired Qualifications
We are actively considering candidates with any of the following experience or skills:

- Experience operating PCI DSS-compliant systems

- Experience implementing and operating public cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure

- Team leadership experience managing 5-10 members

- Management experience, such as serving as a team leader
