Business Overview
The Technology Management Division (TMD) provides Corporate IT, and Cyber Security & Privacy Governance to Rakuten Group companies and essential business management for technology organizations, thereby enabling innovation and strengthening the technology foundation. Within TMD, the Corporate IT Supervisory Department (CITD) drives Rakuten Group's global corporate IT services and infrastructure. Our mission is to empower Rakuten through innovative and secure IT solutions that enhance efficiency and foster productivity.
Department Overview
The Corporate IT Service Department (CITSD) empowers Rakuten through innovative and secure IT solutions that drive efficiency and enhance productivity. Our service scope encompasses enterprise application management for core business functions, driving business process automation and digital transformation through our IT platform, providing comprehensive end-user support and operations, and optimizing IT processes to support a range of essential services and platforms.

In this SalesForce CoE Architect position, you will support these group-wide activities from a SalesForce Specialist perspective, as well as support system development from a technical and operational efficiency perspective. We are actively testing and introducing new technologies of cutting-edge platforms, and working to evolve our services day by day.
In this position, we are looking for a proactive mindset who can pursue these new challenges and contribute to the business by maximizing the capabilities of SalesForce.
Position Details
- As Salesforce COE, support the Rakuten Group's internal SalesForce implementation and customization projects from the perspective of utilizing product functions and applying best practices for SalesForce.
- Liaise with internal and external SalesForce stakeholders to gather technical information and lead internal deployment to leverage, extend, and customize SalesForce system capabilities to solve critical business needs
- Support for development projects to expand and improve the operation of the SalesCloud environment operated by CoE team by ourselves.
- In particular, this position requires to led the study of technical strategies to improve the efficiency of business processes using the AI functions of SalesForce, the lead in communication with the business side and technical verification for implementation, and the study of company-wide AI introduction strategies.
Mandatory Qualifications
- As a SalesForce Technical Architect, it's expected to have experiences in technical studies and lead project promotion in SalesForce (especially SalesCloud/ServiceCloud) implementation projects (5 years or more)
- Hands-on engineering experience (more than 5 years) in SalesForce (especially SalesCloud/ServiceCloud) development projects
- Experience collaborating with business and technology leaders, including C positions, to solve business and system problems related to SalesForce
- Possession of official qualifications such as Developer, Sales Cloud Developer, Service Cloud Consultant, etc.
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
- Language skills: Japanese (business level), English (conversational level)
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in managing the department of the SalesForce development and operation team (5 or more people and more than 5 years)
- Experience participating in global SalesForce projects and leading projects and technology implementation in the presence of multinational engineers
- Highly collaborative, able to build close relationships and partnerships
