About The Role
Job Description

The CDL Driver I will perform duties associated with safely moving trailers, containers, and equipment within and between two Reworld facilities located across the street from one another. This position is a dedicated yard and transfer-station role that supports daily site operations. Driving is limited to on-site maneuvering and crossing the public roadway between the two transfer stations. This is a home-daily position with a consistent weekly schedule.

Primary Responsibilities

• Operate yard jockey trucks to move trailers and containers between the two transfer stations.
• Spot, stage, back, and position trailers for loading and unloading.
• Assist in moving equipment and managing trailer flow within the property.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on jockey trucks.
• Complete basic documentation related to trailer moves and station activity.
• Maintain communication with site leadership, scale house, and loaders regarding trailer placement and workflow.
• Ensure safe operation of equipment while working around heavy machinery and pedestrian areas.
• Follow written and verbal instructions and maintain adherence to all site safety requirements.
• Complete additional duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Must be 21 years or older.
• CDL Class A required solely due to crossing the public road between the two facilities.
• Minimum of 3 years of commercial driving experience.
• Acceptable driving record.
• Ability to work a home-daily schedule within transfer-station hours.
• Preferred Qualifications
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous yard jockey, transfer station, waste industry, or backing-heavy driving experience preferred.

Physical Demands

• Ability to walk, stand, sit, and climb for long periods of time.
• Ability to grab, grip, reach, push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work in various weather conditions.
• Ability to operate safely around heavy equipment and in confined yard spaces.
• Ability to meet visual and hearing requirements for safe equipment operation.

Schedule

• Monday through Friday: 6:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• Saturday: 7:00 AM – 1:00 PM
• Full-time, 40 hours per week.
