Role Description

This is a full-time remote role for a Korean OPI (Over-the-Phone Interpretation) and VRI (Video Remote Interpretation) Interpreter. The interpreter will facilitate real-time communication between English and Korean speakers, ensuring accurate and culturally appropriate interpretations. Responsibilities include managing calls and virtual sessions to bridge language barriers across various industries such as healthcare, legal, and business. Attention to detail and professionalism in adhering to interpretation ethics is essential.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in both Korean and English with strong speaking, listening, and comprehension skills
• Experience in Over-the-Phone and Video Remote Interpretation with an understanding of interpretation protocols is a plus
• Knowledge of professional code of ethics and confidentiality in interpretation services
• Strong time management, multitasking abilities, and the ability to work independently in a remote environment
• Familiarity with industry-specific terminology (e.g., medical, legal, business) is an advantage
• Access to high-speed internet and necessary technical equipment for remote interpretation
• Certificate or training in professional interpretation is preferred
