We provide over 70 various services such as online shopping mall "Rakuten Ichiba", online travel service "Rakuten Travel", online banking service "Rakuten Bank" and others including pro-sports businesses and telecommunication businesses.
Department Overview
We are providing legal support in a wide variety of Rakuten group services including e-commerce, digital contents, financial services and others, and supporting new service launces and acquisitions which actively continue to take place all over the world. Through our daily jobs, we can find exciting opportunities in the field of Rakuten group businesses and many chances to work on laws and regulations both of Japan and other countries in the world.

Position Details
Business Legal
We will provide legal support in each business field at every stage, such as changing services and launching new services, in addition to existing services. Rather than responding passively to requests from business divisions, active involvement is required, such as designing contract relationships while considering the overall picture of the transaction, and involving the parties concerned to lead to the resolution of the case with a sense of speed.
Corporate Legal
Our mission is
Legal support for securities issuance, general meeting of shareholders and board management
Consultation on labor, company facilities
Legal support for organizational restructuring such as JV establishment, M & A, investment activities through corporate venture capital
In recent years, there have been many JV establishments and alliance projects with other companies due to business expansion, and corporate legal team is required to complete these projects speedily in cooperation with related departments.
Mandatory Qualifications:
Work experiences for corporate legal function including drafting contracts, legal researches or others
Energetic self-starter and confident with strong interpersonal skills
Strong critical thinking and complex problem solving skills
Desired Qualifications:
Experience in Internet or Web business industry
Experiences of governmental/administrative regulations
Experiences of legal support for M&A, or litigations
