Job Description

As a Principal in our Private Capital practice, you will provide day-to-day leadership of complex client projects and aspects of the client relationship, working closely with Partners. You will ensure on-time delivery that meets or exceeds agreed-upon goals, leveraging Oliver Wyman best practices, your own expertise, and the firm's technical competence.

• Collaborating on the execution of individual project modules, including developing hypotheses, managing data collection, model creation and analyses, conducting primary and secondary research, creatively tackling information limitations, and surfacing insights.
• Supporting our Partner group in project delivery through accurate and high-quality case execution.
• Building and nurturing executive client relationships, presenting to a wide range of audiences, and working day-to-day with clients and other stakeholders.
• Managing and developing the capabilities of junior consulting staff.

Requirements

• A minimum of 8-12 years of relevant M&A or private capital experience in a large international company or within strategic consulting or professional services.
• Experience in guiding and supporting teams or work streams to achieve goals within set timelines.
• Strong background in strategic problem-solving with demonstrable analytical skills.
• Strong communication skills and comfort in sharing ideas with senior executives.
• Undergraduate and/or advanced degree from a top academic program.
• Willingness to travel, when required.
• Native level Japanese, business-fluent English.
