What does a successful Hardware Supply Chain Project Manager do at Fiserv?

You will join a global team at Fiserv focused on expanding hardware distribution into new markets, delivering secure and reliable devices and accessories that support our payments and commerce solutions. The team manages end-to-end hardware lifecycle activities—from supplier onboarding and manufacturing coordination to local logistics and field quality—to ensure successful market launches and sustained operations.

What you'll do:

  • Lead supply chain planning for devices and accessories in target markets to maintain inventory availability and support market launches.
  • Coordinate with factories, contract manufacturers, and suppliers to manage New Product Introduction (NPI) timelines, component sourcing, and production readiness.
  • Manage third-party logistics providers and freight forwarders to ensure on-time delivery, customs clearance, and warehouse inbound operations.
  • Analyze field quality cases and warranty data, drive root cause analysis and corrective actions with manufacturing and service partners.
  • Develop forecasting, S&OP inputs, and inventory optimization strategies to balance service levels and working capital.
  • Implement cost reduction initiatives across logistics, repair, and fulfillment processes.
  • Rapidly troubleshoot and resolve operational incidents (e.g., delivery delays, forwarder incidents, supply disruptions) and communicate mitigation plans to stakeholders.
  • Responsibilities listed are not intended to be all-inclusive and may be modified as necessary.

Experience you'll need to have:

  • 6+ years of experience in hardware supply chain management, New Product Introduction (NPI), and supplier/manufacturing coordination.
  • 5+ years of experience in international logistics, 3PL/forwarder management, customs processes, and freight operations.
  • 5+ years of experience in demand forecasting, inventory planning and S&OP using planning tools (e.g., Kinaxis, Blue Yonder, Anaplan).
  • 4+ years of experience in reverse logistics, RMA processes, repair operations, and warranty management.
  • 4+ years of experience with quality systems, root cause analysis, CAPA, and familiarity with ISO 9001 and Lean Six Sigma tools.
  • 4+ years of experience with ERP/SCM platforms (e.g., SAP ECC/S4HANA, Oracle SCM) and data analysis/reporting using SQL, Excel (Power Query), Power BI or Tableau.
  • 4+ years of experience operating in bilingual (Japanese and English) supply chain environments, supporting local regulatory and market requirements.
  • 4+ years of equivalent combination of educational background, related experience, and/or military experience.

Experience that would be great to have:

  • APICS (CPIM/CSCP), PMP, or Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification.
  • Direct experience launching payment terminals or POS hardware in Japan or APAC markets.
  • Experience negotiating commercial and service contracts with logistics providers and repair partners.
  • Proven record of cross-functional stakeholder management across engineering, manufacturing, operations, and commercial teams.
  • Experience implementing cost-to-serve analyses and inventory reduction programs.
