About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Managing Director (m/f/d) Japan to lead our client's subsidiary in the Yokohama region. This is a challenging role that requires strong leadership and business development skills.

The successful candidate will have full P&L responsibility for the entire business in Japan and will be responsible for further developing the business within existing markets such as machine building & robotics, automation, transportation, data center, renewable energies, and entirely new markets.

Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will be responsible for defining mid- and long-term business plans for the region, expanding direct sales networks, and managing key accounts personally.

They will also be responsible for providing positive and dynamic leadership for a team of 30+ employees and ensuring the successful implementation of business strategies.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a technical degree or MBA, with long-term leadership experience in general or sales management roles, preferably with P&L responsibility. They should have good knowledge in the field of automation, electrical engineering, or electronics for industrial applications.

Profound know-how in developing and improving sales organizations is essential, as is an entrepreneurial, motivational, and result-driven personality with conceptual strength and analytical skills. Fluency in Japanese and very good skills in English are also required.

Benefits
