Summary:

The Site EHS Specialist directs and supports the implementation of site EHS programs. Providing leadership and technical expertise to meet MPM EHS performance objectives and compliance with local regulations and requirements. Ensuring the application of EHS technical expertise as appropriate.

Responsibilities Include:

Operational EHS Management

• Supporting site EHS management program improvement with Ohta EHS & operation team. Understanding local regulation and Momentive EHS standards, and cascading EHS management programs in site. EHS management programs include industrial hygiene, environment, and other requirements like ISO 14001/45001, sustainability, regulations, and safety culture implementation.

Leadership & Capability Building

• Acting as an interface between regional/global EHS and site, with support from Japan EHS leader and EHS team.

Qualifications:

The following are required for the role:

• BS degree or equivalent combination of backgrounds or experience in engineering, chemistry, environmental science.
• Business level oral and written communication skills in Japanese.
• Conversational level oral and written communication skills in English.
• Knowledge or experience of industrial hygiene, environmental, or waste management.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with all levels of organization.
