Odawara Opella
The role of the ME head is to drive M&S excellence to achieve the site's Strategy

and Ambition.

ME head brings a high level of expertise and leadership in Opella Performance system (OPS) methodology,

industrial performance, digital solutions, transformation, and change management.

ME head collaborates with all functions on the site, with platform OPS, and

actively contributes to the Opella M&S network.

The main impact expected for the Site Manufacturing Excellence Head is to support

the site to reach the targeted level of performance related to the Opella and Narita strategy.

Strategy

Establish and ensure connectivity of performance-related processes and systems: Strat Plan, Strategy Cascade - Site priorities, Performance Plan.
Responsible for Site Performance Roadmap
Build OPS, transformation, and digital capabilities by deploying OPS upskilling program to deliver a site roadmap
Lead Performance activities as part of the Annual Budget and re-forecasting processes, including OMU calculation and Capacity calculation

Build industrial improvement goals at the Site level, initiate, and implement defined continuous improvement action plans, and ensure the dissemination of competencies regarding methods, organization, and project management.

Management

Leads the Manufacturing Excellence at the M&S site.
Follow execution of the strategy at the site level (governance definition,

budget,effort,monitoring,prioritization,challenge,managingroadblocks& risk management)

Ensures efficient resource utilization and alignment of Site performance objective
Ensures Performance initiatives are delivered on time and within established budgets
Provide leadership and coaching to ensure the Site Performance delivers well- defined and quantified outcomes.

Transformation and performance

Challenge prioritizes and coordinates implementation of transformation and continuous improvement initiatives throughout business cases.
Establish targets and drive Top Decile performance
Follow execution of perf plan at the site level.
Coordinate digital rollout planning between the site & global team (planning/ team/scope/governance/execution/upskilling). Lead the governance to track the progress of all digital programs.

OPS Capabilities And OPS Network

Ensure that OPS standards are well-implemented on-site to manage performance.
Interact with external bodies to broaden the knowledge base and maintain current knowledge of industry best practices.


Develops OPS Capabilities to ensure their skills and experiences match the needs of projects and site organization, now and in the future.

Education

Master's degree in Sciences or Engineering
5+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry
5+ years in operational roles
Expert in Lean Manufacturing
Good understanding of data management
Good functional knowledge on business processes. Understand M&S finance P&L monitoring, BOI, GM, COGs…

Related Experience

Fluent English spoken and written compulsory, local language native.
Good knowledge of plant operations & performance management
Structured approach & data driven, analytical & synthesis skills
Good communication skills
Able to lead / animate networks, teams, experts
High level of autonomy
