Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Managing Director (m/f/d) Japan to lead our client's subsidiary in the Yokohama region. The ideal candidate will have full P&L responsibility for the entire business in Japan and provide positive and dynamic leadership for a team of 30+ employees.

The successful candidate will be responsible for further developing the business within existing markets such as machine building & robotics, automation, transportation, data center, renewable energies, and entirely new markets. They will define mid- and long-term business plans for the region, expand direct sales networks, and manage key accounts personally.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a technical degree or MBA, with long-term leadership experience in general or sales management roles, preferably with P&L responsibility. They should have good knowledge in the field of automation, electrical engineering, or electronics for industrial applications.

Profound know-how in developing and improving sales organizations is essential, as is an entrepreneurial, motivational, and result-driven personality with conceptual strength and analytical skills. Fluency in Japanese and very good skills in English are also required.

Salary and Benefits

The estimated annual salary for this position is €120,000 - €150,000, depending on experience. Our client also offers a company car and modern workplaces in a professional and innovative environment.
