Position Overview

The Project Manager is responsible for independently overseeing the execution of moderate to large-scale projects involving the deployment of one or more Entrust products or solutions to external clients.

This role supports the Engineering Solutions Manager in project oversight and is accountable for managing project timelines, deliverables, and overall status.

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning (35%)

Develop comprehensive Project Management Plans encompassing key areas: Scope, Time, Cost, Quality, Communication, Risk, and Procurement.
Define and manage project scope and objectives, clarify team roles and responsibilities, and coordinate cross-functional activities.
Liaise with internal departments (e.g., Supply Chain, Logistics, Ordering, Bid Management) and external stakeholders (e.g., customers, suppliers, system integrators).
Manage changes to scope, schedule, and budget using appropriate validation methods.
Collaborate with the team to create a detailed Work Breakdown Structure (WBS).
Secure formal approval of the project plan from the customer.

Project Execution & Performance Management (35%)

Manage all phases of the project lifecycle: initiation, planning, execution, monitoring/control, and closure.
Implement approved mitigation strategies and contingency plans to address project risks.
Monitor project performance using appropriate tools and methodologies; identify variances and initiate corrective actions.
Document detailed customer requirements, constraints, and assumptions.
Prepare and present status reports to senior management.
Ensure timely and budget-compliant completion of projects.
Apply sound judgment and limited supervision to achieve project objectives.

Project Team Leadership (20%)

Provide leadership and direction to project team members.
Establish a shared understanding of project goals by setting clear expectations.
Obtain formal approval of the Project Charter from sponsors and customers (as applicable).

Post Project Analysis (10%)

Conduct post-project evaluations to identify successes and areas for improvement.
Facilitate debrief sessions with the project team to review lessons learned.
Engage with Account Managers, Sales Managers, and customer contacts to assess client satisfaction and gather feedback.

Stakeholder Engagement

Internal:
Software Engineers, Account Managers, Corporate Solution Engineering team, Supply Chain Groups, Logistics, Bid Manager, etc.

External:
End-Customers, System Integrators.

Internal and external stakeholders may be within or outside Japan.

Qualifications


Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a technical or business discipline.
10 or more years of project management experience.
Demonstrated familiarity with project management concepts, practices, and procedures.
Demonstrated verbal & written communication skills and success in effectively communicating at all levels of an organization.
Ability to lead through influence rather than direct authority.
Ability & willingness to travel outside Japan.
PMP certification and experience with MS Project knowledge preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

Fluency in English and Japanese (both verbal and written).

教訓 (lessons learned)をレビューする。
クライアントの満足度を評価しフィードバックを収集するために、アカウントマネージャー、営業マネージャー、および顧客担当者と連携する。

基本資格:
技術またはビジネス分野における学士号または同等の資格。
10年以上のプロジェクト管理経験。
プロジェクト管理の概念、実践、手順に関する知識。
