Purpose of the role
In the Portfolio Management Unit (PMU), this role primarily involves analyzing data and providing support to develop the hold-to-maturity loan portfolio strategy for Global Corporate & Investment Banking in APAC (GCIB APAC). Responsibilities include inputting and analyzing data for detailed sector and country asset allocations, collaborating with various teams to update assumptions, monitoring portfolio profitability, tracking KPIs, and regularly reporting recommendations to senior management. This position also entails close collaboration with country and regional teams for strategic execution.
Job Responsibilities:
- Collect and analyze data to shape the hold-to-maturity loan portfolio strategy.
- Run and update tools for detailed sector and country allocations.
- Make recommendations to senior management for portfolio strategy enhancements.
- Monitor portfolio profitability and report to senior management regularly.
- Track KPIs and country progress against budget.
- Identify unused resources and recommend reallocation.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders for data analysis and strategy development.
- Lead communication and alignment for portfolio execution.
- Work closely with supervisors for departmental contribution.
- Enhance processes and tools collaboratively.
- Maintain data and tools for capital allocation improvements.
- Manage tasks independently and report progress.
- Follow guidance from supervisors and handle additional tasks.
Job Requirements:
- 7 years experience in the financial industry.
- 5 years experience in financial products and credit portfolio management.
- Experience in managing regional projects.
- Strong strategic planning and communication skills.
- Bachelor's degree or higher.
