We are seeking a Senior Java Developer for one of our Global E-Commerce clients. The role involves developing and maintaining various services to enhance the convenience of stores on the client's e-commerce platform, including APIs that support the core shopping cart system. You will be responsible for a wide range of duties, including design, development, troubleshooting, and operational tasks related to the platform. This role requires strong technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work on large-scale, high-availability systems.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain APIs that support the client's shopping cart system and other e-commerce services.
- Implement various development projects aimed at improving the user experience and operational efficiency of stores on the platform.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address technical challenges, troubleshoot issues, and ensure smooth operations.
- Apply Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) practices to ensure high-quality code.
- Work across the full software development lifecycle, from design and development to deployment and operation.
- Provide solutions for large-scale system operations, handling failures, and improving system reliability.
- Create high-performance, maintainable, and reliable code.
- Contribute to code reviews, source code management, and the overall software development process.
- Participate in testing, troubleshooting, and resolving system-related issues.
Required Skills:
- 5+ years of experience in Java development.
- Experience with Behavior-Driven Development (BDD).
- Proficiency in developing RESTful APIs.
- Experience in operating large-scale online systems and handling failure scenarios.
- Expertise in the software development lifecycle, including code standards, code reviews, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Ability to design and develop high-quality, maintainable, and high-performance code.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
- Conversational Japanese.
Preferred Skills:
- Selenium development experience.
- Experience in developing automated tests.
- Familiarity with the Spring Framework.
- Experience with container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of RDBMS, KVS, or NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra).
- Experience in creating technical documentation.
