Flutter Frontend Engineer

candidates.
Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role located in Tokyo for a Flutter Frontend Engineer. You will be a
core frontend engineer
responsible for our mobile app, starting with Flutter-based development and, in the future, helping us build AI-powered frontend experiences.
You'll work closely with our TypeScript backend and play a key role in shaping the user experience of the ueen platform.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain ueen's Flutter mobile applications as part of our MaaS (Mobility as a Service) platform
- Integrate the frontend with our TypeScript-based backend APIs and ensure smooth end-to-end behavior
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to deliver features quickly and reliably
- Write clean, maintainable, and testable code with a focus on performance and usability
- Take technical ownership of the frontend and help define our future architecture, including AI-assisted user interfaces
Qualifications
- Currently living in Japan
- 2+ years of experience in frontend development (mobile or web)
- Hands-on experience with Flutter (professional experience or strong personal/side projects)
- Experience integrating frontends with backend APIs
- familiarity with TypeScript-based backends is a strong plus
- Ability to work proactively in a small, fast-moving team
