Global MSB Credit & Risk Lead
(Fintech Lending / International Structured Credit)
About the role:
We seek a
Global MSB Credit & Risk Lead
to support the expansion of our international lending activities across the U.S., Indonesia, India, and other high-growth markets. You will evaluate top-tier, VC-backed Fintech startups, structure cross-border loan products, and manage ongoing risk exposure for a rapidly growing portfolio.

What you will do:
Credit Analysis & Deal Execution:
- Lead credit assessments for U.S. and Asian Fintech startups.
- Conduct deep business analysis, financial modeling, and stress testing.
- Design loan structures utilizing collateral, covenants, and SPV models.
- Evaluate emerging markets, macro trends, and competitive dynamics.
- Present findings to senior management and investment committees.
Portfolio Risk Management:
- Monitor borrower performance and covenant compliance.
- Manage reporting, risk scoring, post-investment reviews, and early-warning signals.
- Refine credit policies, frameworks, and portfolio management guidelines.
Cross-Border Collaboration:
- Work closely with overseas partners, VCs, and legal/accounting firms.
- Coordinate internal stakeholders such as finance, legal, product, and operations.
- Communicate efficiently in both Japanese (native-level) and English.

Requirements (MUST):
Experience:
- 5+ years in corporate lending, investment banking, structured finance, VC/PE, non-bank lending, or similar
- OR 5+ years in a corporate finance / treasury / business planning role in a major corporation
- Strong track record in credit evaluation, financial analysis, or deal execution
Skills:
- Native-level Japanese
for documentation, negotiation, and stakeholder communication - Business-level English (reading/writing; conversational ability preferred)
- Strong financial analysis skills (P/L, B/S, CF interpretation)
- Ability to build and evaluate financial projections
- Basic understanding of structured finance, securitization, or venture lending (or the ability to learn quickly)
- Solid Excel and PowerPoint skills
Nice to Have:
- Experience with cross-border finance in the U.S. or Asia
- Experience in drafting loan/financing agreements
- Structured finance or venture debt exposure
- Experience in risk policy development
- Interest in emerging markets and startup ecosystems
