As the Cybersecurity Lead, you will be instrumental in shaping and implementing robust security strategies, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and fostering a culture of security awareness across the organization. Your involvement in the project will be carried out as an independent subcontractor.

Scope of service

• Engage with key stakeholders in the local business and technology teams to gather insights and perspectives on cybersecurity issues. Facilitate discussions to ensure that cybersecurity considerations are integrated into business strategies and initiatives from the outset.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with the leadership team in the technology division, fostering a collaborative environment.
• Promote and ensure compliance with organizational cybersecurity policies, standards, and controls across all relevant teams and projects.
• Collaborate with global security teams to conduct security assessments, evaluate third-party risks, assess technology readiness, perform penetration testing, and support secure application design.
• Provide advisory support to system owners and program managers on all matters related to cybersecurity, offering both technical and strategic guidance.
• Act as the primary point of contact for external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies and industry groups, with support from global teams as necessary.
• Deliver advanced support services during the implementation and initial phases of global cybersecurity technologies within the region.
• Provide architectural guidance to security operations teams to enhance the effectiveness of cybersecurity measures.
• Collaborate with the privacy office to ensure compliance with local privacy regulations and policies.
• Foster a culture of security awareness throughout the organization by leveraging established training and awareness programs.
• Assist in the planning and execution of cybersecurity initiatives and projects, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
• Manage project budgets effectively, providing regular updates on financial status and project progress to relevant stakeholders.
• Offer comparable cybersecurity support to other regional offices as needed, ensuring consistent application of cybersecurity practices across the organization.

Must-have Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
• Over 10 years of experience in a cybersecurity role, with a strong understanding of leading security frameworks.
• Experience working in a global corporate environment, with a focus on cross-regional collaboration.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse teams.
• Proven ability to influence project outcomes and foster consensus among stakeholders.
• Strategic thinker with strong analytical skills, capable of making informed decisions based on risk assessments.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and a product-oriented approach.
• Proficiency in both Japanese and English
