Our mission is to provide our Rakuten Cloud and Ecosystem Platforms which will deliver Core Value to accelerate the growth of Rakuten Group services Department Overview The Marketing Cloud Platform Department (MCPD)'s mission is to lead Rakuten's marketing related products strategy, execute product development and implementation. We empower Rakuten internal marketing teams by building engaging, respectful and cost-efficient marketing platforms that put our customer at the center. Our main advantage comes from our ability to leverage the Rakuten Ecosystem. We provide marketing solutions such as marketing campaign management, multichannel communication and personalization. As a department with 150+ experts across Japan, India and Singapore, we are proud to be a technology organization and we share our knowledge across the Rakuten Tech community.The Marketing Product Growth Section (MPGS) is a cross-functional organization that focuses on product management, business planning, customer success and customer support of Rakuten's marketing related products, managed by Marketing Cloud Platform Department (MCPD). We're client-facing and engage with them to increase utilization of our platforms, which provide multi-channel solutions and contribute to their business KPIs. We also plan future product development, and set priorities and roadmaps to meet client demand. Overall Position Details As a hands-on fullstack developer, you will use your development skills to build applications.Your responsibilities will be as follows:Overall product development: create specifications, programming, testing and release in incubation projects.
- Develop software solutions, respond to requests for coding, testing, maintenance of software programs and systems.- Collaborate with the team to deliver features with quality and speed.- Take responsibility of the code, monitoring, troubleshooting, maintaining, bug-fix when needed, and improve existing software.- Deliver secure, reusable and maintainable high code quality, based on specifications.- Create and maintain technical documentation.- Collaborate with Product Managers and Designers ensuring great UI/UX.Build efficient systems for automating operational tasks and decision-making across our department.

Mandatory Qualifications
Experience utilizing Command Line Interface (CLI) on Linux/Unix (3 years +)
Experience with requirements definition, design of specifications, programming, unit testing, integration testing, system testing in web application development (3+ years)
Ability to perform various development and operational tasks to contribute to the business (not just programming and testing)
Posses experience with collaborative development using tools such as GitHub and GitLab
Experience with development in a Container as a Service environment
Experience with JakartaEE
Experience using and maintaining configuration files for CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, CircleCI, GitHub Actions
Basic knowledge of RDBMS and SQL
Basic knowledge of TCP/IP networking
Desired Qualifications
Experience in developing and operating services using Public Cloud
Knowledge and operational experience with MySQL/MariaDB
Knowledge and experience with Hadoop/Hive
Experience in development using Spring Boot
Experience in service performance tuning
