Responsibilities / Duties
- Serve as an expert in equipment failures and repair techniques during root cause investigations.
- Develop maintenance operating discipline.
- Provide technical expertise to plant personnel on troubleshooting failures, repairs, and evaluating equipment conditions.
- Ensure work requests include engineering input on repair details and provide technical support for critical equipment.
- Document repairs, repair techniques, and equipment-specific training.
- Offer input on maintenance budget development and work packages.
- Provide equipment reliability and performance data for equipment purchasing requirements.
- Complete EH&S orientation and required training, emphasizing safe work practices.
- Support Industrial Hygiene and EH&S work process activities.
- Analyze equipment failures' impact on maintenance spending to identify improvement opportunities.
Experience
- A Bachelor or Master's Degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Material Science/Metallurgical Engineering is required.
This position does not offer relocation assistance. A minimum requirement for the Japan-based position is the ability to work legally in Japan.
