Job Title: AWS Account Executive

Are you ready to support customer innovations using AWS technology? In this role, you will be responsible for managing approximately 10-20 mid to large-sized clients in the retail, distribution, and consumer goods industries in the Kanto region of Japan.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deeply understand customer business/IT challenges and create and execute proposal scenarios.
  • Develop and continuously refine a territory plan to maintain a strong pipeline.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders of customers.
  • Lead proposals to the customer's management that contribute to their business growth, and establish and maintain company-to-company relationships.
  • Collaborate with various functions including related departments and partners to enhance value delivery.
  • Establish sales best practices, elevate the overall organizational level through self-built practices, and provide feedback to the organization.
  • Be responsible for AWS sales revenue from assigned customers.

A Day in the Life:

Interact directly with customers, identify challenges, propose solutions that contribute to their business. Work hand in hand with technical experts (Solution Architects) to plan territories, hold meetings with customers in various roles such as IT departments, business units, and R&D departments, and find proposal opportunities. Collaborate with the internal consulting department to consider business transformation proposals from the upstream of the business and build scenarios including delivery in collaboration with SI partners. Implement various methods such as invitations to marketing events, meetings with the US service team, and planning and execution of customer meet-up events to support customer innovation.

Additionally, by sharing your results internally and externally as examples and best practices, you will have a positive influence inside and outside the company.

About the Team:

Our team consists of members with diverse backgrounds including those from different industries and technical professions. Many members come from Japanese companies. Despite the various backgrounds of the members, as colleagues responsible for the same industry, we share each other's daily learnings, mutually enhance our skills, and aim for the business development of customers in the retail, distribution, and consumer goods industries in Japan. Once a week, team members gather for progress reports and information exchange.

Upon joining, senior employees will mentor you and support your growth from operational aspects to sales field expertise. Also, several team-building events are held annually (in 2023, a barbecue will be organized).

Basic Qualifications:

  • Around 10 years of experience as a corporate IT sales or pre-sales professional
  • Experience in establishing and maintaining continuous and strong relationships at the executive level of large companies
  • Ability to smoothly negotiate with IT department heads, IT architects, and system engineers

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience handling customers in the retail, distribution, and consumer goods industries
  • Strong commitment to achieving goals
  • Business-level English proficiency
  • Ability to be flexible, fast, positive, and proactive in a continuously changing environment
