Tokyo Amazon Full time
AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. In other words, we're the people who keep the cloud running.

We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on.

We work on the most challenging problems, with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain — and we're looking for talented people who want to help.

You'll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles.

You'll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers.

And you'll experience an inclusive culture that welcomes bold ideas and empowers you to own them to completion.

Based in Tokyo, in this role as Capacity Planning Manager, you will drive strategic programs to create and manage capacity at our Data Centers in the APAC region.

The role involves delivering programs effectively to improve infrastructure utilization and availability through extensive partnership with key stakeholders across Technical Program Management, Engineering, Supply Chain, Business Development, and Product teams.

Through close collaboration with our partners, you will help establish Amazon Web Services as the leading cloud technology provider in the region, enabling our customers to effectively leverage our Data Center capacity for their business success.

Do you look around corners to find ways of optimizing resources & speeding up deliverables? Do you enjoy dealing with ambiguity and finding solutions independently? Are you passionate about using technology to solve business problems that have big customer impact?

Come, build the future with us.

Key job responsibilities

Technical Infrastructure Program Managers (TIPM) in Capacity Delivery Planning lead strategic initiatives to identify, execute, and manage capacity at our Data Centers in the APAC region.

Success in this role requires effective collaboration with multiple AWS internal partners, including Build TIPMs, Engineering teams, Supply Chain teams, and Business Development Managers, to co-deliver planning programs.

The TIPM works closely with these partners to drive optimal outcomes that balance customer requirements with site risks.

Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential, as TIPMs must effectively convey complex program information to diverse audiences across the organization.
