We are looking for:
Bilingual Senior Windows Internals Engineer
Lead the architecture and development of core Windows kernel components for a global endpoint security platform. This high-impact role requires deep Windows internals expertise to build stealthy, high-performance defense software by translating advanced threat intelligence into resilient product features.
Key Responsibilities:
- System Development:
Architect and implement high-performance kernel drivers and user-mode services for sophisticated endpoint telemetry collection and control (e.g., processes, file systems, registry, network). - Optimization & Stealth:
Engineer low-level Windows components with an extreme focus on performance, stability, and evading detection by advanced threats. - Debugging & Triage:
Expertly diagnose and resolve the most challenging kernel and user-mode issues across various Windows OS versions. - Security Integration:
Partner with research teams to translate novel threat intelligence and exploitation techniques into proactive defensive measures. - Leadership:
Conduct rigorous code reviews, contribute to strategic system architecture decisions, and mentor less experienced engineers. - Expertise:
Maintain deep, current knowledge of Windows internals, system programming practices, and the evolving threat landscape.
What You Bring: Required Expertise
- C++ Mastery:
5+ years of professional development experience using modern C++ (C++11/14/17+). - Windows Internals Deep Dive:
Expert-level knowledge of the Windows OS kernel architecture, memory management, object manager, and system calls. - Kernel-Mode Proficiency:
Proven experience developing and debugging kernel drivers (e.g., Minifilter drivers, WFP, ETW providers). - Advanced Debugging:
Strong command of debugging and analysis tools like WinDbg, Process Monitor/Explorer, and reverse engineering tools (IDA/Ghidra). - Security Foundation:
Solid understanding of core Windows security mechanisms (e.g., integrity levels, UAC, AppLocker). - Language:
Business level in both Japanese (N2) and English
Good to have:
- Direct experience developing commercial
endpoint security products
(EDR, AV, Application Control). - Familiarity with Windows logging/telemetry sources such as ETW tracing and Sysmon.
- Exposure to malware analysis, Windows exploitation techniques, or Digital Forensics & Incident Response (DFIR) workflows.
- Scripting proficiency (PowerShell or Python) for automation and testing.
- Knowledge of kernel-mode evasion tactics and counter-evasion defensive strategies.
