Collaborate with Process Integration, Yield Enhancement, Production, Process, and Quality Engineering teams to identify opportunities for enhancing baseline yield and controlling excursions. Analyze and implement process changes swiftly that have the potential to enhance yield. Learn from the Global Conversion Process (GCP), Fast Follower (FF), and other avenues, adapting lessons to improve processes promptly. Identify key conversion points through data to drive yield enhancements and report on defect performance metrics regularly. Stay vigilant on defect trends and take necessary actions. Work closely with Production and Shift Engineering teams to address excursions through appropriate measures. Other responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Implementing containment procedures for abnormalities, optimizing defect quality, and setting sampling frequencies.
- Resolving Probe/Backend issues effectively.
- Assessing optimal conditions through SWR summaries.
- Evaluating process margins concerning upstream and downstream activities.
- Validating conversions and new processes via the Global Conversion Progress (GCP) business process.
- Enhancing process cost, throughput, and performance through tool releases and supplier collaborations.
- Reducing scrap and preventing/mitigating excursions.
- Optimizing sampling and inspection steps to manage RDA cycle time and capacity efficiently.
- Documenting improvement activities and sharing insights with related facilities.
- Collaborating on long-term projects to enhance Fab processes.
- Working with Suppliers to enhance inline detection and ensure process relevance.
- Providing coverage for other process loops when required.
- Maintaining discipline in the Fab environment.
- Taking on leadership roles when necessary.
- Managing the Mumetric/YMS or similar metric system.
- Following SOP to update line health daily.
- Prioritizing daily tasks and meetings for efficient execution.
- Encouraging the authorship of technical papers.
- Submitting weekly reports as needed.
