Financial Assurance Manager
This individual will play a pivotal role in supporting the internal control over financial reporting (ICFR) assessments throughout Alcon.
As a trusted partner, they will drive awareness and effectiveness of risk management and controls processes in a cross-functional environment.
- Conduct Key Control Evaluations: The candidate will evaluate and test business processes' key controls, identifying areas of risk and leading the assessment of the adequacy and effectiveness of control frameworks to recommend enhancements.
- Prepare Annual Internal Controls Risk Assessment: They will prepare the annual internal controls risk assessment, considering internal and external risk factors, financial statement mapping, controls rationalization/gap analysis, risks identification, key reports, and system interfaces.
- Coordinate Testing Calendar: The Financial Assurance Manager will coordinate the execution of the internal control testing calendar with key process leads and external auditors, ensuring adherence to deadlines.
- Collaborate with External Auditors: They will ensure alignment with the internal framework by coordinating external auditors' activities related to Internal Controls.
- Identify Process Enhancements: Opportunities for process enhancements will be identified, and the candidate will work with cross-functional teams to streamline workflows and improve efficiency, driving continuous improvement initiatives.
- Promote Awareness and Training: They will develop and deliver training programs to promote awareness of internal controls and risk management throughout the organization.
- Foster Stakeholder Relationships: Strong relationships will be fostered with key stakeholders across the organization to understand and address applicable risks.
- Provide Advisory Services: As a trusted advisor, they will provide guidance to key process leads on matters related to internal controls and risk management.
- Leverage Technology: Technology and data analytics will be leveraged to enhance control monitoring and risk assessment processes.
