At Positive Kids, we believe teaching is more than just instruction — it's about inspiring confidence, curiosity, and courage in every child.

You will:

  • Lead fun, energetic English-based activities (games, sports tag, inquiry projects, crafts, etc.)
  • Encourage children aged 5–10 to communicate only in English
  • Create a warm, motivating, and safe environment through active engagement
  • Support students' emotional growth using growth mindset principles
  • Maintain classroom setup, daily routines, and materials according to the manual
  • Communicate politely with parents and coworkers
  • Be a positive role model — your words, energy, and attitude shape each child's learning experience

We're looking for teachers who are:

  • Active, cheerful, and passionate about working with children
  • Proficient in English at C1 level or above, with a clear and natural accent
  • Punctual, responsible, and able to follow class routines
  • Open-minded and eager to learn the Positive Kids teaching approach
  • Physically active — our lessons involve sports and movement-based learning

Preferred qualities:

  • Experience teaching children in schools, after-school programs, or kindergartens
  • Educational background or interest in childhood education, psychology, or communication

勤務時間・曜日:

Usual working hours:

  • Tuesday: 2:45 PM – 6:00 PM or 4:15 PM – 6:00 PM
  • Thursday: 2:45 PM – 6:00 PM or 4:15 PM – 6:00 PM
  • Friday: 2:45 PM – 6:00 PM or 4:15 PM – 6:00 PM

A flexible schedule is possible depending on class assignments.

Shift hours include set-up and clean-up time.

休暇・休日:

  • Saturdays and Sundays
  • Year-end and New Year holidays
  • Additional days off upon request (with prior notice)

勤務地:

Non-smokers only, tattoos are acceptable.

5 mins walk from Shin-Koenji station on Tokyo Metro Line

Direct bus towards Shibuya station takes 30 mins

5 mins walk from Higashi-Koenji station on Tokyo Metro Line

10 mins walk from Koenji station on JR Chuo-Line

給与:

Payment: Made at the end of the following month via SMBC or Japan Post Bank (Yūcho)

待遇・福利厚生:

This position involves less than 20 working hours per week; therefore, social insurance coverage is not included. However, if your working hours exceed 20 hours per week on a regular basis, you may become eligible for social insurance. Please note that you are responsible for managing your own tax and insurance matters unless otherwise stated.
