■職務内容
PlayStation5(PS5)の高速SSD上のファイルシステム(FS)開発、およびそのSDKの開発が主な業務内容です。プログラマとしてPS5のFSやストレージに関連する機能を設計・開発していただきます。PlayStationのOSの大部分は SIE 独自で開発しており、ファイルシステムにおいてもPlayStationプラットフォームを支えるコア技術が組み込まれた独自機能の開発を進めています。
■組織・職場紹介
我々の課は10数人で構成されており、全ての人が自身でプログラミングしてPS5とそのSDK開発に貢献しています。開発者自身が要求を分析し、担当している領域の機能を設計・開発しています。開発する機能はハードウア(HW)を制御する低レイヤからアプリケーション向けのライブラリまで広範囲にわたります。主な顧客はPS5を使用するユーザですが、システムソフトウエアやゲームを開発している社内外のソフトウエア開発者も顧客となります。そのため要求分析の際にはアプリケーション開発者とコミュニケーションする事があり、バックグラウンドの異なるソフトウエア開発者から学ぶ事も多々あります。FS開発が未経験でもコーディングを求めて異動してきた方も多くおり、それぞれが開発を介して学び、ソフトウエア開発者として成長を続けています。開発の中心はPS5ですが全PSプラットフォームが開発対象であり、R&D要素のある技術的難易度の高い挑戦的な業務、市場で顧客が遭遇して困っている問題を諦めず解決してプラットフォームを支える業務など、HWからエンドユーザまで広範囲に関わる事ができるソフトウエア開発の醍醐味がつまっている職場です。
■求める実務経験・スキル・人物像
【必須要件(MUST)】
・C/C++言語でのソフトウェア開発経験
・カーネルやデバイスドライバの開発もしくは組み込みシステムの開発経験
・リアルタイムOS, FreeBSD, Linuxを使った制御ソフトウェア開発経験
・チームでの開発業務経験があること
【歓迎要件(WANT)】
・大規模なソフトウェアチームでの開発経験
・ハードウェアデバッグツール等を使用した組み込み環境でのソフトウェアデバッグスキル
・Linux / BSD 系 / 独自 OS 上でのファイルシステムの開発経験
■語学要件
・TOEIC スコア 700 以上、またはそれに相当する英語力
・技術的な内容に関して最低限の英語でのコミュニケーションができる事。技術文書を読む、書く等
