Features and Strengths

With the strength of the Rakuten Point market, which has surpassed 3 trillion yen in total issuance, we are building the "Rakuten Economic Circle" through service collaboration with Rakuten Group companies and the introduction of cashless settlement services in real stores, which are growing at an accelerated pace.

Our settlement services can be used at approximately 5 million online and offline locations, including supermarkets, convenience stores, and shopping malls nationwide, as well as at approximately 1 million locations where traffic-related e-money can be used, and the number of locations where this service can be used is continuing to expand.

This System Division handles everything from system service planning related to payment services, planning and implementation related to UI/UX, basic and detailed system design, coding, testing, and operation.

As the service expands, you will be able to experience the planning, development, and operation of a very large-scale system.

In addition, you will be able to improve our services by directly listening to the voices of our customers.

Implementation Group, propose our products and services for POS terminals that customers use to make payments at supermarkets, restaurants, and other real stores nationwide, develop systems in collaboration with manufacturers and other partner companies, install them to real stores, and perform maintenance and operation.

In addition, the products and services you are involved in are actually used in real stores, and by directly listening to customer feedback, you will be able to improve operations and enhance services, so you will strongly feel the significance of your work.

Why We Hire

In order to provide our services to our customers, we have implemented our payment services in supermarkets, restaurants, and other locations across the country, regardless of industry, type of business, or size.

We are continuously planning, developing, maintaining and operating payment services, and we are looking for a person who can play a central role as a payment service implementation producer with an eye on the future growth of the payment business in Rakuten Group.

You will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects while collaborating with multiple departments.

Position Details

Implementation Group, propose, implement, and operate payment services as a payment service implementation producer.

Proposal

We propose our services to partner companies operating real stores in collaboration with the business staff in charge of each business, such as Rakuten Point Card, Rakuten Pay, and Rakuten Edy. Business staff and system staff will divide their roles to promote the work, but mainly the system staff will be responsible for system design.

Implementation

During the implementation phase, the project is launched and promoted not only within the company, but also with external parties such as payment terminal manufacturers and payment service providers. Depending on the project, the members of the team will play various roles, including project management, specification coordination with external parties, and various negotiations. In addition, we will plan and conduct testing for system tests required for various payment methods such as e-money, credit card, and code payment.

After testing is completed, we will perform internal operations associated with the introduction of the system to real stores and provide customer support during the introduction of the system.

Operation and Enhancement support

After implementation in real stores, we provide operational support to ensure stable operation of POS terminals, etc. and systems. We also provide support in the event of system failure. Since our partners' POS terminals, etc. are undergoing systematic service enhancement, we are responsible for a series of development cycles, including the development of new functions and the correction of defects.

Work Environment

Implementation Group, are an organization of about 30 people, including employees and members of partner companies. We have both young and mid-career members, and all of us are working together to achieve our goals.

Most of the existing employees are mid-career hires, and many of the members were previously in charge of development at system integrators or development management in the system departments of user companies, and had no experience in payment terminals, and acquired expertise and skills through their work after joining the company.

Mandatory Qualifications:

• 3 to 5 years of experience in system-related planning, development, and operation.

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience in proposing and pre-sales of IT solutions.

• Practical experience in planning, development, and operation of payment services.
