Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Tokyo for a Japanese Teacher. The Japanese Teacher will be responsible for developing and delivering engaging Japanese language lessons appropriate for K-9 students, assessing and supporting students' language acquisition, and contributing to the development of a strong Japanese language program. The teacher will also collaborate with colleagues, participate in curriculum development, and contribute to the school's dynamic and international learning environment.
Qualifications
- Strong Japanese language teaching skills, including lesson planning, instruction, and classroom management
- Proficiency in curriculum development and familiarity with standards-based educational frameworks
- Ability to assess students' language skills and support diverse learning needs
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Japanese Language, Education, or a related field
- Teaching certification and experience in language education, especially with K-9 students
- Understanding of international education practices and commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment
- Experience working internationally or in an international setting is a plus, as is experience working in the Japanese National education system.
