About the Role
In this opportunity as Sales Manager (Reuters Advertising Solutions), you will:- Attend high volume of weekly meetings with prospective agency/client stakeholders; presenting Reuters and ensuring a solid understanding of account strategy and challenges.
- In conjunction with the research team, present research and insight that highlights Reuters strength versus the competitive set.
- Win business across new and emerging platforms.
- Report to the Commercial Director APAC, develop a quarterly plan for target accounts, associated agencies, and revenue projections.
- Have high visibility at industry events as well as client entertainment.
- Achieve Quarterly and Annual revenue target.
About You
You're a fit for the role of Sales Manager (Reuters Advertising Solutions) if your background includes:- 5-8 years of proven success in selling integrated advertising solutions (display, content, editorial, events) on an international basis.
- A passion for news and journalism
- Existing Agency relationships. Government relationships is a plus.
- Proven success in selling large value deals to clients direct and in conjunction with their agencies
- Evidence of success in a multimedia environment
- Excellent presentation skills: confident and articulate in agency and client meetings
- Strong understanding of the online advertising market and a view on future trends
- Experience working in a collaborative environment that includes Sales, Editorial, Product and Design
- Customer-focused, with excellent written and verbal communication
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented and analytical
- Experience in International advertising markets would be an advantage
- Proven success in selling large value deals to clients direct and in conjunction with their agencies
- Have proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including PowerPoint
- Have excellent communication (verbal and written) and time management skills
- Native level Japanese language skill & Business level English skill
